The Electrobat was the combination of skills from Henry G Morris (a Mechanical Engineer) and Pedro Salom (an Electrical Engineer) of Philadelphia. They got together in 1894 and came up with this design for an electric car, while they were not the first to have this vision they were the most successful. The Electrobat II took the judges metal at America's first automobile contest, The Chicago Times-Herald race in 1895. Two years later they were given the Philadelphia Scott Medal, which was an international award given to those who contributed to the advance of humankind. This was a project donated to the museum after the owner passed away in mid restoration. Antique and Classic is just happy to be able to provide our top notch service to help complete the vision of the past owner and the America on Wheels Museum.
